Shanai J, the visionary behind Eyes of Nai Photography.

My journey began in 2018 while studying photography at Fordham University, where I was the only Black woman in my class. What started as a course quickly became purpose. After my first creative birthday shoot for my Goddaughter, my professor told me, “You have an eye for photography.” That moment inspired the name and the vision behind my brand.

Formerly known as Shot By Nai, I rebranded in 2019 to reflect the intentional, elevated perspective I bring to every session.

Partnering with a studio in the heart of West Harlem, I curate more than photoshoots — I create experiences. I work alongside talented women who provide glam services, including professional makeup and hair touch-ups, as well as a creative designer who transforms each concept into an unforgettable set.
